Robyn G. Peterson has been Director of the Museum of Riverside since December 2017 where she is at work on institutional reinvention, guiding renovation and expansion of the downtown Riverside site, and rehabilitation of the National Historic Landmark Harada House. During the prior 35 years, she held administrative and curatorial positions at museums in California, Montana, and New York, including seven years at Turtle Bay Exploration Park. She holds a Ph.D. in Art and Archaeology with specialization in Museology, an M.A. in Scandinavian Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a B.A. in Design from UCLA. Since 1988, she has focused on fine art, interdisciplinary interpretation, and museum administration.
