Benches are all around us. We use them both by choice and out of necessity. Benches are places to sit communally, to pause, to contemplate, and to converse. Guest Curated for Turtle Bay by fine furniture maker Alice Porembski, this exhibition of works by thirteen artists ranges from the practical to the conceptual and explores deeply this most unassuming, often unnoticed form of public seating and the importance of community.
