Turtle Bay Exploration Park is excited to debut the Turtle Express! Passengers of all ages are invited to join us for a delightful narrated ride showcasing some of the park’s most scenic locations. Enjoy spectacular views as you journey across the iconic Sundial Bridge, pass alongside the picturesque Sacramento River, cross the charming Sulphur Creek Bridge, and explore tranquil paths through the beautiful Arboretum Loop filled with local flora.

Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. All riders aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Young children under 1 must remain on the lap of an adult. The train departs from Domke Plaza in front of the museum.

FAQs

  • Yes, our caboose can fit one wheelchair or mobility scooter in compliance with the guideline standards (dimensions/clearance) for wheelchair accessibility.

  • - Maximum passenger height: 6'3"
    - Maximum weight per occupant: 260 lbs
    - Maximum wagon load: 450 lbs (6 passengers per wagon; 7 passengers in the caboose)

  • Drinks are allowed on the train, but please no food, no smoking, no vaping, and no pets. Service animals are permitted within the park but are not allowed on the ride itself.

    Strollers cannot be taken on the train. There is stroller parking outside of the Branch House patio.

    Please limit large bags so we can accommodate all passengers.

    Turtle Bay is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

  • The Turtle Express departs from Domke Plaza, located outside the entrance of the museum and right next to the Branch House Riverfront Bistro patio. Convenient parking is available in the main Turtle Bay parking lot.

  • The train ride is approximately 11 minutes long and features a narrated experience to accompany your journey across the iconic Sundial Bridge, the Sulphur Creek Bridge, and trails through the beautiful Arboretum Loop.

    Please be prepared for a possible wait time of 15-30 minutes to board the train, depending on number of passengers.

  • Tickets are valid only for the specified date and time. Turtle Bay does not offer refunds, exchanges, or rain checks.
