Step back into Redding in the 1920s! From flappers to prohibition to jazz to automobiles, Redding experienced national trends as well as locally specific events. Brimming with artifacts and historic images from Turtle Bay’s Collection and accounts of events “ripped from the headlines”, this in-house curated exhibition will take you back in time to see what Redding was like 100 years ago. How did people dress? How did they keep house? How did they get around? What did they worry about? Go shopping, dive into local business and politics, check out a Model-T Ford and explore how much Redding has changed and how much has stayed the same since the first ‘modern’ decade.
