Mosaic Gallery Featured Artist: Jessica Crognale

This weekend we hosted our Meet the Mosaic Artist Happy Hour event in the Mosaic Gallery, which is located in the foyer between the Mosaic Restaurant and the Sheraton Hotel. The current Mosaic Artist is Jessica Crognale.
Design, color, texture, and scale are the elements of freshly gathered bouquets in modern compositions across Jessica’s body of work. Expressing a sense of urgency with bold strokes while painting to music is her preferred method of painting. Relying loosely on abstracted natural forms married with lyrical poetry in an alchemy of impasto layered hues and frequently working on more than one surface at a time, building layers on the canvas using any tool that will make a mark. The painting process is intense and often chaotic, drawing reflections upon current moods and distant memories.
