Turtle Bay’s beloved animal ambassador, Timber the beaver, is who Sharon Clay, the Curator of Animal Programs calls “a gentle giant.” Timber came to Turtle Bay when he was only 7 weeks old and is excited about his human interactions.
Turtle Bay offers a special Behind the Scenes opportunity with him so he gets his fill of affection. During this special encounter, visitors will go into Timber’s exhibit with him, be face to face, and even get an opportunity to feed him.
“Guests will tell us it is the coolest animal interaction they’ve ever had,” Clay says. “What he does during the visit is completely up to him!” The visit lasts about half an hour, and pictures are permitted.
The cost per person is $60 for members and $75 for non-members, and includes admission to Turtle Bay Exploration Park for the day. Booking must be a minimum of one week in advance and guests must be 8 years or older to meet him.
