Venue Information

The Sundial Bridge spans the Sacramento River in the heart of Redding. Open to the public July 4, 2004, the Sundial Bridge links the north and south campuses of Turtle Bay Exploration Park and serves as a new entrance to the Sacramento River Trail. The Sundial Bridge celebrates human creativity and ingenuity, important themes of the 300-acre Turtle Bay Exploration Park. The steel, glass, and granite span evokes a sense of weightlessness above the beautiful Sacramento River. The Bridge Amphitheater and North Plaza offer a unique setting for outdoor parties, ceremonies, and receptions. 

Bridge Amphitheater

The Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay is an event venue of epic proportion. Bring your special event to the Bridge Amphitheater where your guests will enjoy the solitude of the Sacramento River salmon spawning habitat and the awe-inspiring structure created by world-renowned architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava. Over 700-feet long and reaching skyward 217-feet, the Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay will inspire lifelong memories of itsbold silhouette above the Sacramento River against a backdrop of the Trinity Alps mountain range. The Bridge Amphitheater will accommodate up to 250-seated guests or up to 350 for a standing reception.

The North Plaza of the Sundial Bridge

The North Plaza of the Sundial Bridge shares the amazing view of the Sundial Bridge and Sacramento River with two large lawn areas on each side of the bridge apron. The North Plaza can accommodate your group from 250-seated to 400 in a reception arrangement. Restroom facilities are conveniently located directly adjacent to the North Plaza and Bridge Amphitheater.
